ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Leading and learning while faithfully following is the personal mission and purpose that drives Dr. Kimberly M. Fraker. A Georgia born and raised lady, she is self-described as a perfectly imperfect perfectionist and an optimistic overthinker.

A learner for life and educator, Fraker holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and two advanced degrees in education from the University of West Georgia including Doctor of Education in School Improvement.

After college, Fraker began a career in public relations and advertising prior to pursuing her true calling in public education. As a K-12 public school educator, she served as a high school English teacher, middle and high school administrator, central office executive leader, and superintendent.

Although most passionate about her faith and family, she is a fervent supporter of public education and literacy initiatives.

She believes these simple truths: Nice matters. Friendship therapy is priceless. Time is money – be careful where and on whom you spend it. She also believes in the power of one – one person, one word, one sentence, one story, one voice.

Fraker and her husband, who captured her heart over thirty years ago, reside in Northwest Georgia close to their adult children.

Mugshots is her debut publication.
